Female Fertility Information

There is basic female fertility information you should know when trying to get pregnant.

Ovulation (Female Fertility Information)

Knowing about ovulation is vital female fertility information. Most women ovulate for 12 to 24 hours. The average cycle (one period to the next period) is 28 days. These factors can vary based on lifestyle, weight, genetics, and more. Typically women ovulate on cycle day 14 if they are regular. Then 14 days later get their next period. Although, I have known women whom ovulate anywhere between cycle day 10 and 16. Sometimes this can be a problem for some women trying to conceive. This is because they do not know which days to inseminate, since they are not familiar with their cycle. Tools that can help better predict when ovulation occurs are ovulation calendars, ovulation tests, and checking your temperature. Add this female fertility information to your study list.

Tracking (Female Fertility Information)

Tracking your cycle for ovulation is vital female fertility information. All females should start tracking their cycles 3 months before they start trying to conceive. This allows yourself to see if your cycle is regular. This also gives you time to plan out which days are best. To track your cycle I recommend getting two ovulation tests. One digital and one non-digital test. I recommend getting ClearBlue digital and Easy@home non-digital. These two test seem to be the most accurate. When testing with the ovulation tests, they may show different results for different days. For instance, the digital test may show a positive one day, but the non-digital test shows a negative the same day. There is no way to know which is more accurate. In my experience, the non-digital tests are more accurate. If the results differ from the two tests, go by the non-digital test. But if the digital test is positive you should try conceive that day. This is because there is the risk of missing your ovulation.

Since women’s cycles differ, you cannot know when a women ovulates without knowing her cycle. Usually cycles are between 21 to 35 days. Generally, the ovulation test will give a positive 12 to 48 hours before ovulation. So if you count 12 to 48 hours ahead, you will know your ovulation day. Furthermore, a women generally starts her next period 14 days after she ovulates. For instance, if a women ovulates on cycle day 10, then her next period will be 14 days later. This is an average, everyone will be different. To make sure you do not miss the positive days the ovulation test will show you should start testing on cycle day 8. This is the 8th day after the start of your period, if you count by a 24 hour day. Whatever day of your cycle you get your first positive, I recommend for next month you start testing 2 to 3 days before your first predicted positive day of your cycle, that you got from your first month testing. You should then repeat this process for the next two months of tracking. You will then be able to more accurately know which days to try for a baby. When you do start, I still recommend you test those months, but now you will be ready and know which days to try and conceive. Add tracking to your female fertility information list.

Days to Conceive (Female Fertility Information)

The days to conceive is female fertility information females should know. The best days to conceive are the first two days that someone gets a positive on their ovulation test. I recommend these days as well, since they are the only days I donated and achieved a pregnancy. One time each of these days is enough. But I have donated twice to the same person on the second day of the positive and still got a pregnancy. Even though the two best days to try are the days you get a positive, it is possible to get pregnant trying the day of ovulation and day after ovulation. This is because typically a woman ovulates for 12 to 24 hours. So there is still time to catch the egg. Keep in mind it takes up to 10 hours for a sperm to fertilize an egg. So even if you do try on these days, you may stop ovulating before the sperm can fertilize the egg. I would not recommend these days, as in my experience they have not been successful. Although, if you missed the peak days, then they are worth a try. For female fertility information purposes, your best days to conceive may be different.
